This issue of the Wooster Voice features a report on a failed fundraiser for the Big Four, for which Wooster students only contributed $2231.90 (~$25,000 in 2017) of the $3,000 goal (~$35,000 in 2017). The failure was blamed largely on students who were study off-campus and the lack of facile methods of contacting them for donations. Also featured was a report on the dance and to be held the day of publication, a theatre report, and the creation of a memorial fund for coach L.C. Boles of Wooster. Page 2 contains an introductory letter from the newly created Wooster chapter of the National Student Association, an organization dedicated to furthering college education. Page 2 also features a piece arguing that in its fight against Leftist totalitarian communism, the United States has been too friendly to the autocratic rightist governments in China, France, Italy, and Hungary, and that it should be more careful when choosing bedfellows. Page 3 is the sports section. Page 4 features a pair of humorous columns entreating the men of Wooster to shave their beards through creative anecdotes, continued articles, and advertisements.

Page 2 features an opinion piece arguing that the United States' policy of supplying weapons and ammunition to allies that are oppressive but strategically important such as China is not only morally wrong but harmful to the United States's foreign policy and strategic interests in the long run. Also featured is a report on the royal wedding in Britain, a letter of thanks for those that helped prepare for the previous week's dance, and a piece arguing that there will always be drinking on campus, despite any ban and that the administration and student representatives should face alcohol problems with this in mind. Page 2 features a call for a Christian ethics to be incorporated into the economic system of the United States, and a call for cooperation with, rather than competition with, Russia. The headline of this edition is "Navy V-5 Unit Leaves Campus after Three Years of Training." As the second semester begins, 150 plus men will be returning from war and enrolling at Wooster, brings the number of enrolled students to 875. Additionally, the paper includes a political cartoon entitled "Are There Two Roads to Democracy?" that depicts the Japanese rather negatively while also making a commentary on U.S. government. Don Shaw was elected President Pro Tem of Student Senate. The college cage results are featured. Phi Sigma Iota celebrates twenty years at Wooster with a banquet.

The conference was to be held in Atlantic City, NJ, and was the first YWCA conference since 1940. An atom bomb scientist from Chicago University, Dr. Harold C. Urey, was to give the keynote speech on the subject of "Atom Energy, for War, for Peace." On the third page of the newspaper, there is information regarding athletics at the college, most notably, the numerous losses of the Wooster athletic teams.
