The Sadie Hawkins day king will be chosen on Friday from 10 candidates that represent each of the fraternities. The Dogpatch dance is on Saturday at 8:30. The all college dinner on November 4th, sponsored by the Wooster in India committee, will have the theme of India-in-Wooster. The Student Christian Council has begun its fundraising event with the goal of raising the amount of $3000. On the 27 of October, Theodore Greene will give the final speech of Wooster's lectures on "Twentieth Century Concepts of Man." Daniel DeArment, Elizabeth Foster, Jane Rice, and William McKee will be spending the next semester in Washington DC. On October 12, Dr. Nelson Vance Russell, class of 1918, died from a heart attack. He had just received his Doctor of Laws last June.

This year's Wooster Day celebration is going to be the climax of the Rededication Anniversary Year. There will be four days of festivities from December 9 to 12. The Little Theater will be presenting Shakespeare's "Hamlet" from November 14-17. The sororities are holding their hell week this week. The Wishart Museum will have the exhibition, "Young Painters, U.S.A," on display from November 7 through the 24.

Today marks the beginning of the 25th annual Dad's Day festivities. Approximately one hundred students will remain on campus for Thanksgiving Break. Benjamin Fairless, a Wooster alumnus, is featured on the November 12 Time magazine cover, and in a ten page biographical view in the Business and Finance section. For the first time in four years, Wooster will be observing "Week of the World" from November 27 through the 29.

Five students will receive degrees at convocation on December 12, this event will also conclude the Rededication Anniversary happenings. The Wooster Day celebration will officially open Sunday, December 9, a service in the Memorial Chapel led by Dr. Harrison Ray Anderson. This will be a highpoint of the Rededication Anniversary. The Christmas themed formal dance will be held on December 15. Page three has images of Old Main before and during the horrid fire, and page four retells the happenings of the fire.

It was announced at the Rededication Anniversary dinner that the college is seeking to raise an urgently needed $3,000,000 in cash and pledges. S20,000 has been added to the organ fund, leaving just $25,000 more to be raised. There is an article on page two discussing what sports were like in the year 1901.

Yesterday the college voted in favor of having a temporary Air Corps ROTC set up in Wooster. Wooster's section of the American Chemistry Society are sponsoring a talk on "Archaeological Chemistry." The Men's Student Government Association distributed damage bill's that were not paid last year from Hell Week at this week's meeting. This year's Gum Shoe Hop is directed by Dick Oberlin and the play is titled, "Go Continental." The third page features the weekly athletic updates.
