Associate Professor - Physics [Department Chair]: Niklas Manz
A Physics major gives students a rigorous education and foundation in the scientific process, and practical experience in science and technology. Physics students learn in both classroom and laboratory settings, and develop both their knowledge of physics and its applications and skills in effective communication and research methods.
Recent IS topics in physics include shear thickening fluids and their application in liquid body armor, the effects of temperature on the expansion force of Osorb, and the optimization of BEEM techniques.
The Physics department is located in Taylor Hall.
