Abstract

Modern advances in technology have allowed for the rapid evolution of fluid simulation techniques. This project is an investigation of the latest fluid simulation method developed by Nvidia for computer graphics, called Nvidia FleX. This paper traces the development of the particle-based FleX model back to the Navier-Stokes equations defining the motion of fluids. To observe the quality of fluid graphics produced by FleX, this paper details five FleX simulations testing various properties of fluid flow and examines their results.
