Abstract
This is a novel that is primarily realistic and contains a few magical and imaginative elements. Most of the contents are directly translated from the Chinese version of this novel (also by Zhongting Wang). Because of the different language logic and cultural background, English readers will inevitably feel confused, so please excuse me.
There are five main characters, three of whom are based on myself and two on my best friends. The entire story is only one day long from beginning to end, while the main thing that occupies the novel is not the events of that day, but the various memories triggered while walking through the most familiar streets. Readers will follow them as they learn about my ups and downs over the past twenty years, the drastic changes in Xicheng District, then the various changes in China. In these changes, we have gained a lot; in these changes, we have lost a lot.
It should be noted that as of the time of I.S. submission, this novel is not finished. But I will definitely keep working on it and finish it as soon as possible.
