Abstract

The upcoming of Airbnb has transformed the landscape of hospitality, disrupting traditional hotel markets worldwide. Economically, Airbnb has introduced a new form of accommodation that offers competitive pricing. As Airbnb listings continue to expand and diversify, hotels face intensified competition for guests, leading to a more dynamic pricing environment within the hospitality industry. This paper looks at the need for hotels to adapt their pricing strategies to remain competitive in the evolving marketplace shaped by the presence of Airbnb.
