Abstract
The e-commerce market in Vietnam has experienced significant growth in recent years, with the emergence of several major platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, and Sendo. Understanding competition among these platforms is crucial for their sustained success and growth. This study aims to analyze customer reviews of these platforms using topic modeling and sentiment analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each platform. A dataset of app reviews from Google Play Store was collected, preprocessed, and analyzed using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) for topic modeling and the VADER sentiment analysis tool for sentiment analysis. Descriptive statistics, topic distribution, and sentiment analysis results were used to interpret the findings. The study's implications suggest that the e-commerce platforms should focus on improving their customer service, product quality, app performance, and delivery times to enhance their competitiveness and improve customer satisfaction. This research also highlights the importance of using both LDA and sentiment analysis in analyzing customer reviews to gain deeper insights into customer perceptions and opinions.
