Abstract
This thesis examines the assimilation of African sub-Saharan migrants in Morocco. The research is designed to identify the relationship between cultural attributes of migrants and their economic assimilation in the Moroccan society. The theoretical model links theories of assimilation and game theory to explain the evolution of cultural behaviors of migrants according to their economic and social outcomes. An empirical analysis is performed on a 2021 household survey in Morocco. Significant Results are found showing that migrants who share specific cultural attributes with natives are more likely to assimilate well.
