Description
This edition of the Wooster Voice was published on January 22 of 2010, and it is eight pages long. The article that heads the first page is a reaction about the earthquake that has devastated Haiti. The campus will be having a Bean and Rice dinner in which part of the meal swipes will be going to relief efforts. A $250,000 grant has been given to ABS materials by Jumpstart. ABS materials was founded by chemistry professor Paul Edmiston. The three finalists for Wooster's first Provost position are described on the second page. Local, national, and world news stories are included on the left column of the second page, including a hippo escaping from the Montenegro Zoo. Joseph McCarthy has written a biased review of President Obama's past year in office. John McGovern struggles to define a hipster on page four. Hannah Tilorlo-toth replies to Usman Gul's article from last week regarding vegetarianism. The noon lunch rush in Lowry is proving to be chaos after the closing of Kittredge. The weekly athletic updates are from page seven to eight.
