Description

This edition of the Wooster Voice was published January 15 of 2010, and it is eight pages long. Haiti was hit by a 7 magnitude earthquake this past Tuesday. Lowry Center was given a face lift over winter break including a new convenience store, updated bookstore, and renovated mailroom. The left column on page two features local, national, and world news. Don Jacobs' Physics 220 class had to create robot for their final rather than taking an exam. California's Proposition 8 has been taken to the federal court, and they are hearing arguments for and against this proposition which defines marriage as being between a man and a woman. This proposition made same sex marriage illegal. Usman Gul wrote an article on page three about how difficult it is to be a vegetarian since many foods and products that exist contain parts of an animal. Laney Austin wrote a review of the new look of the COW cards. The current exhibition in the Ebert Art Center museum is "War in Iraq." Current movie reviews are on the sixth page including: Avatar, The Princess and the Frog, and Sherlock Holmes. Pages seven and eight feature the weekly athletic updates.
