Description

This edition of the College of Wooster's student run newspaper was published on October 12 of 2007, and it is eight pages long. The football team played Ohio Wesleyan this weekend for our Homecoming Game, and ended up winning. The final forum lecture of the year was given by Sandra Steingraber on the relationship between fetal health and the environment. Four people were injured after a shooting at SuccessTech Academy in Cleveland. Professor of Chemistry Paul Edmiston has been working with other chemists and an engineer in developing a sensor that detects explosives. The first lecture of the year sponsored by the archaeology department was given by Kenneth Harl from Tulane University on Iconoclastic controversy. Small changes have been made regarding meals including take out options in Lowry and the use of two swipes at Java Hut on the weekend. A birdwatching group called CoWBirders meets on Saturday mornings and travels to places nearby to observe the birds. Photos from Homecoming Weekend are on page five. The athletic updates for the week are on pages seven and eight.
