This issue headlines an incident in which Wooster students threw snowballs at passing cars for hours, even the police, who were dissuaded by Dean Brown from using tear gas on the offenders who refused to disperse. At least eight cases of damage to cars were reported to the Wooster Police. Also featured is a report on a Student Government Association (SGA) for more student representation in campus decision making, and an obituary for Henry Luce, a notable trustee and professor of the College of Wooster. Page 2 features an opinion piece criticizing the language used by journalists to portray the Vietnam War as a black/white type conflict and a second piece recounting the refusal of the Education Committee to let students have a role in their decision making process. This is the November 1st, 1967 edition of of the Wooster Voice, a student run newspaper published at the College of Wooster. This issue features a conference on Latin America happening at Wooster the day of publication. Also featured is a refusal of freshman to participate in an annual hazing ritual of being run out of their dorms at 5:00AM on Saturday morning and simply remaining in their bunks behind locked doors. Also featured is a reactivation of the Young Republicans Wooster chapter and their backing of a local politician. Page 2 features a criticism of the irrational methods often used to reach opinions of social issues and a report from a Wooster faculty member on what she observed in a anti-Vietnam War protest in Washington DC. The protest was controversial at the College of Wooster because the Student Government Association allotted $100 (~$750 today) to the Student Action Committee for the purposes of attending the protest. Page 3 features a heavy criticism of a previous issue's column written by a student studying abroad in Lebanon that purported to explore the Arab psyche. The author, an Iranian native, argues that Arabs can recognize Israel's existence and that their refusal to do so is a result of their political leader's calculations, not some deep rooted sense of identity or religious reason. A second author also wrote regarding the piece, and this one agrees with the original piece. Page 4 features Dr. Hans Jenny's efforts with managing the College of Wooster's endowment fund. Page 5 features a report on a Wooster Archaeological dig in Pella, Jordan. Pages 6-7 are the sports section. A College of Wooster production of Guys and Dolls got rave reviews; the cast was skilled and it brought lots of laughs. A list of freshmen who pledged Greek Life is listed on the front page of the paper. The British Ambassador to the United Nations was originally scheduled to appear at the College, however he had to cancel his visit. Phil Shipe, the head football coach at the College will be retiring, his history at the College and fond memories of him are detailed. Plans have emerged to build on new structure on campus to honor past president Howard Lowry. Details are not clear quite yet. The Voice also takes down the College's outdated stances on pre-marital sex on campus. A student piece examines the government of Britain.

The College decides to not extend the tenure of a Psychology professor, one Dr. Cho. He made the letter with the dismissal public, and students proceeded to express outrage toward the decision as well as praise toward the Professor. George F. Kennan, the former U.S. ambassador to the Soviet Union came to give a lecture at the College. The Voice gives a brief background on him. There is a large article discussing the tightening of draft regulations for students. The Voice tells students not to worry too much as the College was also not as affected by the Korean War as they thought they might be. The Voice once bemoans recent price increases for the College tuition this school, putting them on-par with ivy league costs. The paper addresses a feud between the paper, a faculty member, and Galpin policies. The issue, over fines for lack of Chapel attendance, are also reflected in individual student-written articles. Page three looks at the sports records of the College, examining their scores so far in the season. They recently beat Hope College in basketball, however there was less success on other fronts, such as swimming. Page five is devoted almost entirely to advertisements, including an advertisement for skiing at 'Snow Trails' in Mansfield Ohio. James Bond Movie 'Thunderball,' starring Sean Connery is advertised to be showing at the local theater.

Students are upset over food quality on campus, however the administration does not seem ready to make any changes. Students are also asking for staggered rates on meal plans. The College will be featuring multiple Centennial speakers. These will include Rene Dubos, a bacteriologist, Melvin Calvin, who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and a nuclear physicist, Henry Margenau. Kennan, former U.S. ambassador who recently lectured at the College, stressed the importance of understanding communism fully instead of simply directing blind hate towards it. The Voice reflects on the beginning of the College's Centennial Week. They also voice support for the student body in going up against Galpin over the food quality crisis. A student piece looks at the reforms, or lack thereof, that have been instituted by Congress. A former Wooster student signed a contract to play football in the American Football League, with the Buffalo Bills. A loss to Mount Union eliminated the Scots chance at a title. They additionally lost in wrestling to Baldwin Wallace. On page four, the Voice investigates rising tuition costs, and how the administration is handling the situation. There are also Valentines-themed advertisements from local businesses.

Due to an oversaturation of white, Presbyterian students, the Student Government Association, alongside Admissions, is focusing on bringing in more "Negro" [sic] students to the College in the coming year. Rene Dubos, the first Centennial speaker, looked at man's alienation from nature. A Wooster student currently staying in Allahabad, reflects upon his experiences there. He is a representative for Wooster-in-India. Once again, administration met with students to discuss the food quality issue. A student piece examines social issues on campus, such as dating, and the food service dispute. The Voice reflects on the College seemingly not holding up what it purports to be its values on paper. A student reflects on his experience building and living in a cabin, away from the College. In page three sports, the Wooster basketball team finally had a success. There is a piece under the Campus News Notes, offering Wooster men a "Slave for a Day" [sic] where women from the Peanuts sorority will be "auctioned off" [sic] to the highest bidder to follow them around for the day.

The College will be hosting a Pastor, by the name of James T. Laney, who is an expert on the far east. He is planned to give two addresses at the College. President Lowry finally addresses students concerns with the food service. He assures students that it will be addressed in the near future. Excerpts from his speech are given in the paper. A panel met to discuss possible additions and revisions to the Honor Code. On page two there is a piece offering monetary aid for students in accomplishing their Independent Study projects. The aid would be coming from the University of Texas. The Voice reviews the College's performance of The Emperor, a play by Luigi Pirandello. A student reviews the Johnson administration's stances and policies on Vietnam and the Vietnam War. He finds them to be extremely lacking. Page three looks at the College's sports teams, and makes predictions for upcoming games. Page four continues the long debate with Lowry and the administration over students issues with food services and the way that they are handled. He also addresses students issues with a lacking bookstore.

This edition opens by discussing some recent changes in policy, regarding academics and otherwise. This includes edits to the structure of the Liberal Studies major, along with the potential revoking of a fine for skipping classes near breaks. The College hosted 10 Brazilian students who were doing college tours in the US. President Lowry announces plans to fix and improve both the on-campus bookstore and Hoover Cottage. The film Thistle, about a 13th century war will be screened at the College. A recent coup in Ghana is covered, with remarks on the instability of the government in the region. The Voice applauds the decision of the administration to eliminate the class-cutting before break fine. Page two contains numerous letters to the editor all looking at previous on-campus issues raised. There is a photograph of members of the synchronized swim club in costume. Page three is dedicated to sports. The Wooster wrestling team is doing well, making it to the OAC tournament. There is an advertisement on this page for a Beach Boys performance at the Canton Memorial Auditorium. On the final page there is a review of Warner Brother's film version of Othello, recently screened at the Wooster theater.
