Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand the relationship between people who interact with Latinx culture and their expressions of or engagement with Latinidad in the United States. In order to accomplish this, different concepts were tested including cultural awareness, cultural interactions, ethnocentrism, amongst others. Along with these concepts, this independent study also discusses other concepts that are important for identity building such as hybridity, cultural identity theory, and intercultural communication. This study utilizes a quantitative approach, more specifically a survey, to gather data from students on five major concepts along with a few questions on their demographics. This study also aims to contribute to previous literature that talks about Latinidad, and the Latinx identity.
