Abstract

Most hip hop fans would like to dress like their favorite artists, but what if the artist wanted to dress like us because that was once the case in the past and still is till this day? Or have you ever wondered why your favorite hip hop artist is so obsessed with wearing high fashion clothing and what influences it has on youth culture? My research will highlight how hip hop artists have revolutionized urban street fashion and high fashion into performance wear for the stage over the past three decades and how I can, as a fashion designer, use this research to create their clothes with their aestheticism for my brand.
