Abstract

During the Covid19 pandemic, the US economy faces difficulties due to social distancing and stay-at-home order. My research focuses on how the effect of Covid19 varies between sectors of the US economy. After collecting and combining data from multiple sources, I use multiple linear regression and panel regression to find empirical evidence to show that sectors have had significantly different growth rates in response to Covid19. The results indicate that while most sectors experience negative impacts from Covid19, several sectors benefit from the pandemic.
