Abstract
This thesis establishes the connection between mathematical and literary formalism by examining the works of the mathematician David Hilbert and the playwright Bertolt Brecht. Specifically, this involves the discussion of Brecht's Threepenny Opera (and his theory on theater) and Hilbert's theory on Hilbert Spaces.
