Abstract
This study looks at how a director can both create and perform characters in their own production of 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane. Throughout this study I follow my personal journey with 4.48 Psychosis taking it from a concept to a finished project ready to be presented to an audience. Using textual analysis, I discuss how came up with the characters and how they fit with one another. Then I discuss the process of directing the show from my own point of view and how the characters come to the forefront of the story.
