Abstract
This thesis uses the Oculus Rift headset and the Unity game engine to create a game that can be used to teach students and the public about the life of Neanderthals through game-based-learning. The goal of this game is to show how we can learn about past activities through objects left behind and to break the stigma that Neanderthals were apeish creatures and show that they were intelligent beings who created and used tools, fire, and clothing.
