Abstract
The objective of this study is to examine the need to reorganize the U.S. Chaplain Corps, and to provide recommendations centered around the idea of faith-based diplomacy. First, a brief history of the chaplaincy program and the concept of faith-based diplomacy will be introduced. Next, a few selective publications on this topic, both scholarly and military doctrinal, will be carefully examined and compared. Finally, this study will propose the creation of a separate branch within the Chaplain Corps, tasked with the execution of faith-based liaison techniques. This proposal includes some revisions to traditional chaplain roles and responsibilities.
