Abstract
The purpose of the following study is to allow insight into the rather esoteric practice of Supreme Mathematics which has been developed by the Black Muslim movements in America, namely, The Moorish Science Temple, The Nation of Islam, and The Five Percent Nation. The study will be presented chronologically in an effort to analyze not only the religious and esoteric dimensions of the aforementioned Black Muslim sects, but also the sociological effects of the presence of Islam in the Black communities of the American Northeast over the course of the 20th century.
