Abstract
This thesis is study of successful mayoral leadership. It provides a detailed review of models of mayoral leadership. These models are then used to construct a model which will be used to test the hypothesis. Case studies will serve as the method for analyzing the data on mayoral leadership. The last three mayors of Cleveland will be tested to see if they have achieved successful mayoral leadership while in office. In the results, only one mayor fits the hypothesis for successful leadership, but this actually helps to strengthen the final results on mayoral leadership.
