Abstract

This study looks at three fundamental disagreements with the current rights regime and how they effect the universalization of human rights. It looks at fundamental disagreements with human rights in the Islamic traditon, the Chinese tradition, and the developing world and how they are reflected in the work of Amnesty International. It concludes the the current global human rights regime needs to be rethought and human rights need to be reconceptualized.
