Abstract
This thesis explores the vernacular of places I have lived, experienced and traveled to throughout my life. For years, I have become a witness to the many changes of mountains, hills, fields, deserts, and forests of America. In a sense, each individual landscape experience is a form of my home. By utilizing digital photography, alternative process photography, and vernacular photographs I have created landscapes that express the security and comfort one finds at home.
