Abstract
In the past, comics were seen as low forms of entertainment for children. Today, comics have reached a new level of sophistication and are finally being recognized for their artistic merits. Growing up, I read a great number of comics like daily newspaper strips, Japanese graphic novels, web comics, etc. Inspired by these creations, I wanted to dive into creating my own graphic novel for all ages. Over the course of I.S., I developed an original story for a graphic novel involving a time travel escapade gone wrong, misplaced dinosaurs, and unexpected friendships through a number of original comic strips and vignettes.
