Abstract
This Independent Study presents the implementation and design of a cloud-based collaborative storyboarding application for production teams to previsualize their projects. The application allows multiple users to create, edit, view, and organize storyboards in real-time. Additionally, the storyboarding web application provides an animatic feature and drag-and-drop reordering of storyboards. The frontend is built using React.js, while the backend relies on Supabase, a backend-as-a-service cloud platform.
Furthermore, this Independent Study integrates two research areas into the development and examination of the storyboarding application. The first area focuses on human-centered User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design principles, such as feedback and visual hierarchy. The second research area explores cloud computing and how it improves collaborative software.
