Abstract

A pivitol moment in young persons life is the college experience. Here students not only learn academics to pursue a career but they also learn to create community and within every community issues will arise. Many students on college campuses do not know how to or feel confident to report issues that occur on college campuses. Woo Reports is designed to solve this issue by giving the students the power to report incidents themselves, providing real time updates to other Wooster students.

The application gives students the power to report incidents on campus by pinpointing locations on a virtual map that is then displayed to all users of the application. Inside of these pinpoints students can describe the priority level and provide a description of the incident that has occurred.

This paper will go through the full stack design of understand and building the mobile incident reporting application through research that includes UI/UX design, fullstack development, understanding of Internet systems and how they all connect. The technologies is used in the application are PostgreSQL, Express.js, React Native, and Node.js(PERN stack). This thesis is focused on the process and development of building a fullstack mobile application.
