Abstract
The human experience is complex and full of tensions. Our human instinct is to focus on the future, thus sacrificing the beauty of the present. The connections we make are crucial to fully experiencing life. This Senior Independent Study combines two of my most important musical interests: Music Production/Composition and Music Performance. I combine electronics as well as live performance with visuals to convey this beauty. This is shown through the Human Experience: Electronic Adaptations and Video, the Evolution, as well as the Closure/New Beginnings section. As a part of my video, I demonstrate how our body reacts to a traumatic experience. In the evolution section, I explore how we change over the course of our lives. The live performance, Closure/New Beginnings, celebrates and honors these moments of transition.
