This paper aims to find the relationship between language policy, migrants' choices, and economic development in Singapore. The theoretical part of this paper explains the types of immigrants, the impact of the labor market, and the cost of migration in Singapore. Time series data were used in this study, including information about Singapore from 1980 to 2021. The result reflects that a more tolerant language policy will encourage more migrants from different ethnic groups to migrate to Singapore, and the relationship between migrants from various ethnic groups and Singapore's economic development is positive.
