Description

The Voice's Story of the Week for this issue is "Students successfully demand divestment," reporting on student organizations successfully protesting to remove the College's investment in for-profit prison companies. Other articles in the News section include "Underground remains closed," "Students show symptoms of drugging after formal," and "Investigation of threats ongoing," the last being in reference to bomb threats on campus. The Features section of this issue has articles entitled "Great Decisions Lectures focus on 2016 presidential election," "Wilson Lecture Series begins," and "Student recognized for stellar research" with a former NASA scientist, along with an article on the WooCrew acting as mentors for students at Wooster High School. The Arts and Entertainment section covers concerts over Winter Break, Senior Weekend for the Department of Theater and Dance, and an exhibit at the College's Art Museum for the Spring. In Sports, the Voice reports on men's and women's basketball, the athletic department's role in stopping sexual violence on campus, and swimming and diving.
