In a discussion with Wooster students and faculty, to address rape on the campus, Wooster chief of security outlined the procedure one should follow if they are attacked. Additionally, an expert on African and third world literature, Dr. Naomi Garrett, speaks to the college as part of an invitation from the Wooster French and Black Studies department.

This issue of the Wooster Voice details Wooster's plans for coal acquisition in face of the ongoing shortage, the vetoing of a proposal by Wooster College President J. Drushal for the establishment of an on-campus, student-run pub, and the use of a Junior Independent Study Project in a United States Senate hearing. Page 2 features a series of opinion pieces on the proposed pub and on the ongoing Watergate scandals and comparison to Harry Truman's last days in office. This issue headlines the trials of two former Wooster students for extortion related to a kidnapping incident. Also featured is a speech given on campus by farm labor reform activist Cesar Chavez to explain his positions. Finally, a piece about legal troubles over the construction of a bar on campus details the failure of the College to get the required permits and permissions. Page 2 features a piece detailing what is expected coursework outside of the classroom, and how expectations of different departments vary.
