Abstract
My podcast is describing a self founded theory that I call the Native American Paradox theory. It finds its roots in Edmund Morgan theory that the oppression of African liberties purchased American liberties. My theory states that the oppression of Native American liberties outlined American liberties. I use two examples for this. The first is the Cherokee who were threatened by colonists until they formed one large tribe. This is similar to the colonists who were threatened by Britain until they formed the Union. The second is the Iroquois who outlined the constitution with their Great Law of Peace. This contribution was formerly recognized later by congress. The theory is an example of the americanization of “the white man”. In other words, how colonists changed in favor of natives.
