Abstract
The Revolutionary War will always be remembered as the beginning of a new nation with freedom like no others. The first year of independence for the colonists was almost its last. The Battle of Saratoga was a pivotal moment in the war because it allowed us to show the rest of the world that were capable of defeating the a world power. The victory at Saratoga convinced the French to send military aid to the Americans and help fight the British Army. This infamous victory provided a morale boost to the continential to keep fighting for their freedom.
