Associate Professor - Spanish [Department Chair], Latin American Studies: Rikki Palmer
The Spanish major at Wooster provides students with a coordinated grounding in Spanish language, culture, literature and linguistics. Within the major an emphasis is placed on exploring interdepartmental opportunities to enhance one's studies, and on bringing knowledge learned through coursework to bear on today's world.
Recent IS topics in Spanish have included a Spanish-language non-fiction magazine and an efficacy survey of several Spanish grammar textbooks.
The Spanish department is based in Kauke Hall.
