Associate Professor - Political Science [Department Chair], Latin American Studies: Michele Leiby

The Political Science major at Wooster features four interest concentrations: U.S. Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and Comparative Politics. These four concentrations provide majors with a broad range of options for advancing their education in accordance with their interests and thematic focus. A major's chosen concentration determines the advanced courses pursued and further prepares them for both Junior and Senior IS.

Recent IS topics have included an examination of the media's role as a revolutionary actor in Nicaragua under the Sandinistas (Comparative Politics), a study of international funding for AIDS treatment (International Relations), an analysis of assisted suicide as interest rather than a right (Political Theory) and a study of the evolution of metropolitan sustainability policies (U.S. Politics).

The Political Science department is based in Kauke Hall.
