Description
This is the first volume of a two-volume Book of Etiquette by author Lillian Eichler. Eichler states in the introduction that the purpose of the book is, "To give the reader so clear and definite an understanding of the social life that he will be able to have at all times, under all conditions, that unaffected grace and charm of manner that the French like to call savoir faire." This volume introduces etiquette and its reward, then gives more specific etiquette guides for engagements and weddings, funerals, christenings, introductions, visits and calling cards, invitations, correspondence, and parents and children.
