Description
This book, comprised of articles originally published in The Saturday Evening Post, is primarily directed toward young men, but also includes advice for men of all ages. This first part of the book includes a chapter of general advice to young men, specifically a chapter devoted to the relationship of the young man to his home and especially his mother. Beveridge also devotes a chapter to whether young men should attend college and what young men who go to college ought to do versus what young men who do not attend college ought to do. In the final chapter of this section, Beveridge encourages young men to have families and create their own "new home" rather than devoting themselves single-mindedly to their careers.
