Description
Fully titled Golden Steps to Respectability, Usefulness, and Happiness: Being a Series of Lectures to Youth of Both Sexes, on Character, Principles, Associates, Amusements, Religion, and Marriage. The author, John Mather Austin, also wrote Voice to Youth, Voice to Married, and more. These "lectures" were originally written as sermons, but were published with the intent for a wider audience of young adults to, "...influence them to honestly, industry, sobriety, and religion." In this section of the book, Austin writes about the proper approach to religion and the importance and seriousness of marriage.
