Sun afternoon

Jan 10. ['25?]

Dearest family.

Just a week ago today we were together. It hardly seems possible! Just had a special from Mrs. B[rowner] and Boots. There has been a mysterious thread running thru the letters from Wau the last of this week and today which leads me to almost suspect some plans they have for me for Spring vacation. Can you guess? Mary wrote a strange letter and then a card the next day with the following verse on it

If you want to make me happy
Just as happy as can be
Just pack your grip
And take that trip
To come and visit me ! ! ! ! !
