Abstract

This paper examines whether subprime lending patterns in minority and low-income neighborhoods display evidence of predatory lending practices. In addition, it investigates exactly which measures of risk and race have the greatest impact on mortgage lending. The study performed examines minority and low-come neighborhoods in Chicago, Illinois.
