Handwritten verso: Handwritten note, which states that Bob [Davis] and an unspecified Lieutenant were the first Americans to enter Brake after the capture and surrender of 20,000 Wehrmacht by Canadian forces.
Bob and Lieut. were first Americas to enter Brake just after capture, and surrender of 20,000 Mehermacht. The city was taken by Canadians.
