Photograph of the Compton family, gathered for the inauguration of President Howard F. Lowry. Howard F. Lowry was inaugurated as the President of the College of Wooster on October 21st, 1944. In the photograph, members of the Compton family are sitting and standing on the lawn of the Compton House, which is located on College Ave., in Wooster, Ohio. On the back of the back of the photograph there are a few written notes. At the top, it reads, "The Compton Clan gather at the back of the Compton house on College Ave. for the inauguration of the Fourth Brother Howard on October 21st, 1944. They are all with [...] in spirit today". Under this note, it identifies everyone in the photograph as the following from left to right. Front row: Arthur H. Compton, Mary Compton Rice, Mrs. Elias Compton (referring to Otelia A.). Standing: Mrs. Wilson M. Compton (referring to Helen Compton, née Harrington), Sherret S. Chase, Mrs. Sherret S. Wilson and Mary are looking at the camera, while Elias and Otelia are looking away. There is a note on the back of the photograph that reads, "Dining room, after 1913, note odd chairs". This photograph was taken after 1913, however there is not a specified date attached with the photograph.

Photograph of Karl T. Compton and Rowena Rayman on their wedding day, June 21st, 1913. Rowena passed away a few years after the wedding in 1919. In this photograph, Rowena's sister is holding a basket of daisies, Rowena, Karl T., and Wilson M. Compton stand on the porch of a house. The wedding couple stand in the middle, with their siblings on either side. This photograph was likely taken at Rowena's house. Rowena lived across the street from the Compton house on College Ave. during her sophomore year. There is a note on the back of the photograph that reads, "Note the daisies".

Family portrait of the Compton family in 1913. No exact date is specified, but the photograph was taken at some point in 1913. Otelia A. and Mary Compton sit, while Arthur, Wilson M., Karl T., Elias stand behind. The birth order of the Compton children is as follows: Karl T. (1887-1954), Mary (1889-1961), Wilson M. (1890-1967), Arthur (1892-1962). Elias Compton (1856-1938) and Otelia A. Compton (1858-1944).

Photograph of the University of Wooster baseball team. Both Wilson M. and Karl T. Compton were on the team. In this photograph, Wilson M. is #3 and Karl T. is #4 in the order of players from left to right. While the photograph is not dated, we know that Wilson M. and Karl T. Compton attended the University of Wooster between the years 1907-1911, thus the photograph was taken at some point during that date range.

Portrait of Elias Compton, 1887
Portrait of Elias Compton in 1887. Elias was a professor of Philosophy at the University of Wooster. There is a note on the back of the photograph that reads, "Wooster College, Photograph of Elias Compton, professor of Philosophy. [...] attended his classes, he is the father of the Compton men of national fame". This caption is clearly written after the University of Wooster became the College of Wooster. This name change happened during the 1914-1915 academic year.
