Description
This edition of the College of Wooster's student run newspaper was published on August 28 of 2009, and it is eight pages long. Photos from the Class of 2013 orientation are featured on the first page. Babcock Hall is reopened for the fall after renovations. A new bronze sculpture donated by the Howland Memorial Fund is placed in near Kauke and Timken; it is a globe with other elements placed around it. John P Papp Stadium has new turf, lighting, and other renovations. This summer, Bissman Hall was decorated with Greek Letters and artwork that relate to the groups that occupy the space. A law was passed in Afghanistan a week ago that allows a man to not feed their wife if he is not pleased sexually. This summer, the college offered a work program called WooCorps which provided employment opportunities for students. Madelyn Hatstead's article on page five discusses how Michael Jackson's doctor may be partially to blame for his death. Athletic updates for the past week are featured on pages seven and eight.
