Description
In this edition of the Wooster Voice, there is an article on the front page that announces the attendance of a Wooster student, Lilamay Walkden, at a post-war YWCA conference. The conference was to be held in Atlantic City, NJ, and was the first YWCA conference since 1940. An atom bomb scientist from Chicago University, Dr. Harold C. Urey, was to give the keynote speech on the subject of "Atom Energy, for War, for Peace." On the third page of the newspaper, there is information regarding athletics at the college, most notably, the numerous losses of the Wooster athletic teams. Finally, the paper ends with an advertisement for a local business.
