Abstract

This is an analysis of the contemporary heroes within television today. The argument of this thesis is that violence acted out by contemporary heroes is justified because it produces justice at the end of the day. The specific violent contemporary heroes analyzed are Jax Teller in FX's Sons of Anarchy and Dexter Morgan in Showtime's Dexter.
