Abstract
Abstract
This paper provides a review and analysis of the role of espionage during the Revolutionary War, focusing on the impact of the Culper Ring in New York. As a During the Revolutionary War, the Culper Spy ring provided vital intelligence to General Washington, which allowed him to outmaneuver his enemies and attack them strategically when they least expected it. Without the use of espionage and the formation of the Culper Ring, the American army would have suffered defeat during the American Revolution.
