Abstract
The ability to make better predictions with the use of data and statistical analysis is used in a variety of fields . For instance, predictions can be made on the outcome of surgery in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients with the use of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) questionnaires. In sports, the capability of predicting the outcome of a game can be produced. Through the use of regression, models can be created to predict outcomes. More specifically, linear and logistic regression models are used to predict outcomes. An in-depth analysis on various statistical tests and mathematical models will be examined and applied to a specific data set.
