Abstract

This Is How Girls work is a queer memoir that focuses on gender and sexuality and the way identity is formed out of social and personal perceptions. The text explores the intricacies of emotions and the power of emulation, mirroring, twins, passion, lust, in addition to things such as the physical space of bathrooms. Looking at adolescent relationships, This Is How Girls walk is a coming of age story that details the boundaries and ambiguity that come along with variant sexual and gender identities.
