This edition of the newspaper includes an article titled An Evening With Dickens, describing what was termed a pleasant evening at the Methodist Church the previous week. The events of the evening included an organ program followed by impersonations of the Scrooge by Professor Lean in his program for the evening. Another article describes the highlights of Wooster’s first County Fair and Athletic Carnival, and the various exciting activities and food options presented to the students. In the section titled Of Interest, included a list of individual social happenings that past week, with the most significant one being the Theta initiation of two new members that past Friday. Another article presented the program rendered by the Conservatory Association during its meeting the previous week. This edition also includes a fascinating article under the section Communication written by the Editor contemplating the reasonings behind naming the school Wooster University, and instead proposes Wooster College and the College of Wooster as names that would be more significant of the institution’s character. Lastly, advertisements from local businesses have been included in the latter half of the newspaper.
