Abstract
In this podcast, I look at the freedom paradox seen in the Declaration of Independence and how it relates to slavery. The examples that I use come from the ideologies of Thomas Jefferson at the that he was writing the Declaration, as well as the 1852 speech preached by Frederick Douglass. What I want you to take away is that we need to start looking at history through a different lens.
