Associate Professor - Classical Studies, Comparative Literature [Department Chair]: Monica Florence

The Comparative Literature program at the College of Wooster is interdepartmental, focusing not only on explicitly comparative coursework, but also a range of national literatures in both original and in translation. Comparative literature allows students to work beyond the boundaries of literature in a single language, or to combine their interest in literature with one or more foreign languages.

Recent IS topics include intertextuality in the films of Nicholas Ray, Samuel Fuller and Jean-Luc Godard and contemporary revisions of Perrault and the Brothers Grimm.

The Comparative Studies program is based in Kauke Hall.
